Masquerade

"We understand how dangerous a
mask can be. We all become what
we pretend to be."
           ~Patrick Rothfuss

One sister dark and one sister light, of pale day and starless night. Two souls that circle endlessly a waltz of question and mystery. Who is the sunless and who the sun, are they two or simply one? Cover your eyes and enter in, perhaps the truth you'll treasured win. The clock hands move and midnight creeps, though night is cold no one sleeps. Come to the dance in shadow and shade, with the sisters of the masquerade!

Flea Market Find

"The stillness of October gold
Went out like beauty from a face."
                 ~E. A. Robinson

A little over a week left in October and I can hardly believe it. In the evenings there is a definite chill in the air and nearly all of the leaves from the trees have sailed to the ground. Everyone is busy cleaning up their yards in preparation for the next season (which we shall not name because I am DEFINITELY not ready for it).
I was out doing a bit of antiquing this weekend and I brought a pretty treasure home. A very curvy, carved, and romantic antique table. I just love it! I have put a small lamp on it which is just the right size and a couple pieces of vintage china. It is always so exciting to come across something special like this!

Happy Thanksgiving!

"Gratitude can transform common
days into thanksgivings, turn routine
jobs into joy, and change ordinary
opportunities into blessings."
             ~William Arthur Ward

Happy Thanksgiving! (To the Canadians out there ;) I had a wonderful dinner with my family yesterday and thoroughly overdid it with the yummy food! I feel truly blessed for my magnificent life and for the people in it that I love and cherish. Here are a few photos of our Thanksgiving table and some outdoor Autumn pictures that I took while I was out on a walk with my niece. I hope everyone has a wonderful week and remembers to show gratitude for the blessings of life!
